QR code generator

Turn a link or any text into a QR code you can download and print. Free, with no sign-up and no expiry.

Using QR codes well

Always test your code with a phone camera before printing. Keep a clear margin around it, print it at least 2 cm wide, and use dark on a light background. Shorter links make simpler codes that scan more reliably, especially when printed small.

Ideas for QR codes

Link to your menu, a review page, a booking form, Wi-Fi details, an event page or a donation page. On business cards and flyers, a QR code saves people typing a long web address.

Frequently asked questions

Do these QR codes expire?

No. The code contains your link or text directly, so it works for as long as the link itself works. Some other sites use redirect links that stop working if you cancel a subscription.

Can I track scans?

Not directly. To count scans, use a link with tracking parameters, such as UTM tags, and check your website analytics.

What size should I print a QR code?

At least 2 cm wide for scanning at arm's length. For posters scanned from a distance, a good rule is one-tenth of the scanning distance.
